IVF with vitrified embryos is an in vitro fertilisation programme, under which the embryos that were previously vitrified (i.e. frozen) are transferred into the uterus. An embryologist conducts thawing of embryos, evaluates their condition and chooses the most promising embryo for transferring; one or two – depending on the medical situation and the wishes of the future parents. IVF with vitrified embryos is a cryo programme, in which both embryos of future parents and donor cells are used.
