Diagnostic hysteroscopy is an outpatient examination, which does not require hospitalisation of the patient. During the procedure, the woman lies in the gynaecological chair and the doctor inserts a hysteroscope into the uterine cavity and consistently examines the walls of the uterus and fallopian tubes.
